Liam's Story

Liam works for an award winning company

Liam Leach from Springfield school in Crewe has been attending an extended work experience placement at Intercare in Crewe since Nov 08. Liam has been working with the drivers helping them to deliver and transport goods and products to the healthcare industry.

Liam has learned how to talk to customers, how to safely handle waste, and how to ensure the correct paperwork is signed by customers. Liam says, “it feels like work” when he attends his placement and he “feels like part of a team”.

Maggie Hutchinson, the Human Resources Director of Intercare said that “Liam has impressed us all by his willingness to join in with all aspects of work. He is always pleasant, polite and smartly dressed”

Intercare have offered extended work experience placements to Springfield school and other local schools over the last three years, and feel it is important to support the local community.
