Interview Preparation

Students take part in a series of workshops.  Supported by employers, sessions will cover the importance of preparation for the interview, including advice on presentation skills and guidance on filling in application forms. Application forms can be provided by EBPlus and will be completed during the workshop for use at Mock Interviews (see below).

Mock Interviews

Give KS 4 students the opportunity to practice their interview skills with employers in school. The team recruit and brief employers to carry out mock interviews with time allowed for feedback on performance at the end.

Work Experience Preparation

An essential pre-requisite for all students going out on Block Work Experience, we provide a half-day’s preparation to ensure that students gain the maximum benefit from their placement. A series of workshops is available comprising the following: Health and Safety, Communication skills, Team Building, Customer Care, Employers’ and Students’ expectations on Work Experience

Work Experience Debrief

To ensure that students are fully debriefed after their work experience placement, and that they have the opportunity to give feedback on their work placements, we can arrange for a series of workshops to be run over a half-day.

Vocational Placement Workshops

A new range of workshops designed to enhance and support vocational placements.  We have a range of tried and tested workshops that can be tailored to individual school needs.  With the new diplomas due to start in September 2008 we are offering this new activity designed to enhance and support work done in the classroom.

Health and Safety in the Workplace (CIEH)

This one-day course will lead to the CIEH Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace. The course contains essential information about Health and Safety in the workplace, presented in an interesting and entertaining way.  Assessment is by way of a multiple-choice examination done on the same day.
