Employers Support for Work Related Learning

Employers Support for Work Related Learning

Work Related Learning takes place in many of settings, including events and activities that take place at school.  Planned work related learning such as Work Experience typically takes place in years 10 and 11, although you may also get involved in some activities at an earlier stage.

Education Business Plus provides a range of services to help students learn about work, for work and through work. Our services involve local employers who give their time and willingly share their knowledge and experience to help young people to prepare for working life.

The following are examples of our services that involve local employers:

· Interview preparation/mock interviews
· Employability skills workshops
· Work experience briefings
· Sector specific Health and Safety briefings
· Business mentor programmes
· Occupational talks
· Industry days
· Enterprise activities
· Information Advice and Guidance/Careers fairs

When planning and recording your work related learning or reflecting on your own personal learning it is important to consider the full range of activities, such as the examples given above, that you have undertaken or are planning to undertake while at school.
