Announcing Connexions ‘Employer Week’ 16 - 20 March 2009

Connexions Cheshire and Warrington - the advice, guidance and support service for 13-19 year olds – announces employer week 2009 will take place 16-20 March 2009.  Each year, during employer week, our staff engage directly with organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Employer Week has several aims:

• To inform our work with young people ensuring it is based on current information about available opportunities, skills needs and expectations of employers in Cheshire and Warrington
• To identify employment, training and volunteering opportunities,  suitable for young people (last year we identified 252 new employment and training vacancies)
• To provide information and advice regarding the opportunities and the support available to employers  engaging with local young people.

Activities this year will include on-site visits, surveys recording skills requirements and other opportunities to meet Connexions staff and local young people.
