Edexcel WorkSkills suite obtained by Connexions Cheshire and Warrington

Education Business Plus has been instrumental in obtaining BTEC centre approval on behalf of Connexions Cheshire and Warrington to deliver the Edexcel WorkSkills qualification.

The BTEC WorkSkills are a new easy-to-assemble BTEC qualification that stack up to job success.  At every stage of our lives we need work-related skills and Edexcel have developed a flexible suite of BTEC qualifications that will enable young people to choose from a wide range of bite-sized units such as Searching for a Job, Running an Enterprise Activity and Managing Your Own Money.  Most units are available at Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2.  The manageable size and sheer flexibility of these units enables learners to accumulate unit credits at their own pace to gain BTEC Award, Certificate and Diploma qualifications.

For Education Business Plus this qualification has particular relevance for supporting activities in the areas of work placement, interview techniques, enterprise and teamwork to name but a few.  Indeed the Level 1 Award in Workskills is already being delivered through the Jump on Board programme with Warrington schools.  The programme has been designed to fit the learning outcomes of the units Working in a Team, Preparing for an Interview and Interview skills.
