Celebration event for Extended Work Experience
Students from East Cheshire were invited to a celebration of their work experience at the Connexions Hub at the end of the summer term.
Young school leavers and sixth form students from Crewe, Sandbach and Nantwich attended the event to collect their certificates after completing 12 wks or longer on an Extended Work Experience placement with local employers.
The placements have given the students the chance to secure employment, apprenticeships and references from their employers. The placements allowed the students to spend either one or two days per week learning about the job roles and the specific skills needed to do the jobs.
The placements included car mechanics, leisure centres, retail, catering, care, childcare, travel agents, horticulture and animal care.
